Two reports handed down from the French Ministry of Sports, from April 2010 and April 2012 define the existence of the Pilates Method within the “Code of Sport.”
- Pilates professionals are not classified under the Ministry of Culture nor of Health.
- In France, in order to be paid to teach the Pilates method, you must have a certification recognized by the Ministry of Sports.
- Those holders of a nationally recognized Diploma of Dance allows the professional to teach Pilates only within the context of a dance class.
